Offagna

Offagna is a characteristic medieval village located in the hills of the Riviera del Conero, in the Marche region.

The centrepiece of the town is the majestic Rocca built by the Anconetani in the 15th century for defensive purposes. The Rocca now houses the Museo d'Armi (Weapons Museum) with exhibits from prehistoric to medieval times. The historical centre of Offagna has maintained its medieval layout and atmosphere, with cobbled alleys and old stone houses.

Strolling through the village you will come across the Church of San Tommaso and the 13th-century Palazzo Comunale with civic tower. Offagna is famous for its renowned Medieval Festivals that enliven the town every summer. Costumed figures, jesters, tournaments and dinners offer a plunge into the past.

The protagonist is the Crescia, a typical focaccia stuffed with local products. Offagna's specialities also include native wines such as Moretum and traditional country dishes. The surrounding area is ideal for walks and excursions. Offagna is the ideal destination to experience the magical atmosphere of the Marche's medieval villages.
